O Locus Award é outro dos prémios esperados na área da ficção científica e da fantasia. Iniciado em 1971, os premiados baseiam-se nas votações dos leitores da revista Locus, e os vencedores são anunciados num jantar que ocorre anualmente, onde lhes é entregue um certificado. Inicialmente, o prémio teria como objectivo indicar possíveis escolhas para o prémio Hugo.

Entre os vencedores dos anos anteriores encontram-se The Yiddish Policemen’s Union (Michael Chabon), Un Lun Dun (China Miéville), Heart-Shaped Box (Joe Hill), Accelerando (Charles Stross) ou Iron Council (China Miéville)
