Em Omohide Poro Poro, Taeko, de 27 anos, recorda constantemente os seus dez anos, e as situações marcantes daquele idade. Embora tente resistir às mudanças próprias da vida, é constantemente atormentada pelas irmãs por continuar solteira, resolvendo partir, pela segunda vez, para o campo.
Embora parado, um pouco lamechas e de animação ultrapassada (de 1991), o filme é simplesmente adorável – pela personagem, pela maneira como a história está contada, torna-se uma animação agradável e pouco superficial.
